Description
This is a three-dimensional mixed media piece done on a 12x16 canvas board. It was inspired by the many images of the serenity of a buddha in meditation. The features were built up with a combination of wood filler, stucco paint, and and stone texture in a spray can. The colors applied are craft enamel.There is actually an original that will be available for purchase, but this particular image is color enhanced for an overall blue effect. The photograph that I took of the piece in its natural state lacked the depth of character of the original work and all of the little color nuances, the greens, blues, purple and little touches of gold did not show up at all. I will not post an unaltered version of this image until I can get a proper digital capture of it. Meanwhile, here is a blue one - if anyone is interested in this image in a different hue, let me know and I will post a modification.
