Artist's Description
All of the images in the Chartreuse Series are based on photographs of an oil lamp and cropped to create interesting abstract images, leaving the shapes and colors pretty much as photographed. Here you can see the oil lamp wick, but it could be the trunk of a tall palm tree, or the leg of a strange giraffe. At any rate, abstract art should speak to the viewer without preconception.
