Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. I love this - it reminds me of a nice cool glass of iced tea on a summer's day.

Artist's Description

This started out as a photographic experiment, trying to catch the blending of different color fluids. Not very successful, as they either blended too quickly or just turned into little beads that just sat there. I will have to do a little more experimentation on that.

However, I took one of the former shots and ran it through a few PS filters, such as wave and ripple filters and a teeny bit of smudge tool, heightened the saturation, but left the colors pretty much as shot, and it began to look more abstract, rather like a frosty iced tea.

Original photo taken with Kodak 10.2mp digital SLR, processed of course in photoshop.
