Description
Could not resist taking this shot the other day in my front yard of my little fan palm. Did not want to lose the light or the perfect angle by running inside for a camera, so this was taken with my cell phone. Processed a bit in PSE-10 to increase contrast, but no cropping was done and looks pretty much as shot.

Thank you, Elaine; I also like all the little curly blond hairs coming off it. BTW I sometimes cut off an old leaf and trim it down to make a hand-held fan ... it's great in my rocker on the back porch on a hot day.

these plants are so common, they're easy to overlook, but i love the green and i love the accordion folds - so florida!
