Description
Most people see the Saint Louis Arch in shots taken from a comfortable and familiar distance. Up close and personal, standing at the base and shooting straight up into the sky, the curve of the arch soars away to almost abstract heights. This picture is, of course, heavily edited, in order to emphasize the abstract quality and to bring up a variety of colors and texture. The eight observation windows at the very top of the curve were just barely visible in the original photo, so I added some little dashes in the appropriate position so you can see where they are. Imaging being up there and looking out from up there.
