Artist's Description

Years ago there was an old abandoned building on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg, Florida. It looked so forlorn, having once been a nice small hotel and then used in its later years as a nursing home, and here it was long since empty and falling apart. I was drawn to this structure and slipped through the rusted chainlink fence to walk around the exterior taking pictures. That was a number of years ago and, today, the site has a new life as a multi-unit, modern assisted living facility, and no trace remains of what the building used to look like. I imagine, however, that some of the atoms and molecules of the previous structure as well as some of its occupants' spirits remain, coexisting on another plane, unaware that time has moved on.
